3. It is said that a Bedouin horse master measures the level of his horses’ discipline by taking them on a journey in the desert. After several days, upon arriving at an oasis, he turns the herd loose for a desperately needed drink of water. Before the Arabians reach the water, the master calls them to return to him. Only those who obey are considered worthy of their master’s trust.
