Did you know?


• When flying, the bald eagle very rarely flaps its wings, instead it soars.

• During breeding season the male and female work together to build a nest of
  sticks, usually located at the top of a tree. The nest can weigh up to a ton and can
   measure up to 8 feet across. (Note: one ton=2000 pounds)

• After mating, the pair remains together until death separates them.

• An eagle’s keen eyesight allows it to see fish (an eagle’s typical prey) up to 1 mile
  away.
